Detailed description

Having achieved success and victories in the struggle against Napoleon, in 1813, Russia received support in the face of Prussia. The initial successes of associates 6 anti-French coalition replaced lesions, which were applied became strong fighting force Bonaparte.

After the defeat of the coalition housings August 27, 1813 in Dresden battle allied troops began to retreat through the mountains in the direction of Mine Kulm town. Russian regiments led by Osterman-Tolstoy, in a mountain gorge his troops fought the whole day with the French, under the command of General Vandamme. Only the next day - 30th August 1813 - to the aid of Russian forces arrived in Chief Barclay de Tolly.
