Sandy mole rat - mammal animal kind of mole rats and a rodent.

It is generally similar to other members of the genus: has reduced eyes, ears and tail. In typical trait closest to the giant mole rat. The body length of about 30 cm, fur painted in light shades of gray, and the belly from the back of the color is different.

It lives in sandy forest in the lower reaches of the Dnieper. The main population is in the Black Sea Biosphere Reserve. This was outside the area of a mosaic.
