As a result of the survey was recorded almost 280 thousand clicks that follows.:

- second place - about 19%;
- third place - 5.5%;
- fourth place - 4.5%;
- fifth place - 1.9%;
- against all - less than 8%.
Under this option, the leaders are not named. Since the survey was anonymous and does not even require registration on the site, taking into account the method of repeated votes and, accordingly, meaning the percentage distribution between clicks unknown candidate signs the Bank of Russia did not explain. In general understanding of the Internet audience preferences can be open on the results of parallel voting that took place at several other sites for the same signs, for example, on the website of the agency "Prime" or Russian newspaper. Championed design sign - "P" with the headlines with her foot.
Even in the first day of the survey is one of the Bank of Russia staff, told "Izvestia" newspaper reported that "for the regulator is not so much a vote as to collect opinions and comments... The voices without text comments regarding the choice made will not be counted... The aim of the discussion is to identify some nuances, for example, do not offend if data symbols of someone's religious feelings are not there racial overtones and are not there already upotrebimo in some more quality. " Some selected comments Bank of Russia began to publish since 18 November. As the bank's press service, the comments - "typical opinion on each of the five proposed symbols."
The working group that prepared the candidates for voting, the list of criteria for inclusion of characters in the short-list, the criteria, terms and procedure for the final selection of the ruble symbol on the website of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation have not been mentioned. It does not describe the collection of opinions of Russian citizens who do not use online channels, and is more than half the adult population of the country. According to the survey of the Bank of Russia said that the "carefully analyze all left on the site their reviews and will take into account when making a decision", but the timing of this decision and has not been named.
As noted on the website of the bank, "Bank of Russia Working Group reviewed more than a thousand applications from citizens and organizations with a variety of spellings offers a graphical notation of the ruble, has studied the idea of the Internet community. Among them were selected five of the most often proposed options." Meanwhile, many domestic media noted the apparent lack in the short list of characters based on the Latin letter "R", in particular, winning some characters competitions, authors of which are Tagir Safayev (struck-through "R") and Vladimir Yefimov ( "R" with twice the diagonal leg). So, in 2006 the Russian Public Opinion Research Center and the newspaper "Izvestia" asked the experts to select 13 of the most interesting characters, which are then VTsIOM presented to Muscovites on four focus groups to find out that Muscovites left 4 digits indifferent, 3 were deemed unsuitable, 4 - "ambivalent". Only two characters attracted interest from the respondents - it is based on the Latin alphabet and projects Safayeva Efimova. Results of the study were presented June 14 at the round table "How to be a sign of the ruble?"
Announced the start of the survey, some of the English-language media (eg, Reuters, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times) note: Russian letter "p (er)" is read as the Latin letter "p (pi)" that can the future become a source of confusion, horizontal strikethrough resembles orthodox eight-pointed cross, the symbol with the double leg of the letter "y" is similar to the icon of the "people ski" and looks like advertising the Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014.
December 11, 2013 the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of the ruble symbol has been officially approved. The winner was the second option - the letter P with a horizontal line - who scored more than 61% of the vote.
In the center - the emblem of the Bank of Russia (the two-headed eagle with wings down, under it - the semicircular inscription "БАНК РОССИИ"), at the top along the rim - the inscription: "ОДИН РУБЛЬ", beneath a horizontal line, separated by periods, - the year of issue "2014".
