Detailed description
In 2007 Elec received the title "City of Military Glory" in memory of the war years 1941-1945 and its defenders. Release of this ten-coin dated to the obtaining of a high rank, and symbolizes the heroism of Soviet soldiers in the war against the fascist invaders.
In late November 1941 the Verkhovna rate was tasked to stop the German forces in the area of the city Elec. An active preparation for the establishment of guerrilla groups and the anti-Nazi underground who participated in many combat operations, carried out sabotage and covert attacks, destroying manpower and military equipment of the enemy, distracting and binding capabilities of the German troops to focus on the main thing - the offensive of the Red Army.
By December 1941 Elec was released the advancing Soviet troops, which is not a small role in the liberation, played guerrilla movement. It is noteworthy that this coin is not first addressed this city, was released one more in the series "Ancient Towns of Russia".
Obverse description
In the center - the denomination of the coin "10 РУБЛЕЙ". Inside of the figure "0" - hidden, visible by turns on changing angle of view of the image numbers "10" and the inscription "РУБ". In the circle along the rim - the inscription at the top: "БАНК РОССИИ", at the bottom - the date "2011" on the left - a stylized image of a laurel branch, the right - oak.
Reverse description
